Painting series that trace the dialogue between color, composition, and memory.
Echoes in Blue
(Current, ongoing series)
Echoes in Blue explores the balance between structure and emotion — between what is seen and what is felt. Drawing from imagery of poolside leisure, fashion, and everyday objects, each work reduces the familiar to color, form, and space. Without narrative, these paintings become meditations on balance and restraint, where simplicity holds depth and meaning emerges in the quiet tension between recognition and abstraction.
Western Silhouettes
The Western Silhouettes series conveys a romantic image of the West and the beauty of nature, set against fields of textured color and light. Each mixed-media piece explores the balance between realism and abstraction — using space, shadow, and a play of depth within a flat plane to shift the familiar into something contemplative.
Assemblages
This small series combines paper, fabric, image transfer, oil paint, and found materials to explore the beauty of structure and chance. Each piece recontextualizes everyday objects within a restrained, abstract space — creating quiet dialogues between texture and form, surface and memory. These works reflect an interest in how material, mark, and fragment can suggest meaning without narrative.
Distant Skies
These landscapes explore the dialogue between land and sky — the meeting point where stillness and distance shape perception. Each work reduces the landscape to its essentials, emphasizing light, space, and atmosphere over detail. Figures occasionally appear, not as subjects but as quiet anchors within vast environments. The result is a meditation on solitude and scale, where minimal means evoke the immensity and calm of open space.
Self Portrait
Self-Portrait is a single work composed of individual charcoal drawings. The piece explores portraiture as both observation and reflection — studies of character, light, and emotion drawn from those around the artist. It suggests that our “self,” as seen by the world, exists only through the eyes of others, revealing the space between who we are, who we wish to be, and how we are seen. In this way, the collection becomes a self-portrait — a quiet mirror built from the faces of others. Stripped of color and context, each drawing focuses on tone, form, and the honesty of a gaze.
